Life is choice
I am grateful my parents give me freeedom to make my own
decisions. They let me choose where I study, my adventures. When I graduated from junior high school, I
see a boarding school pamflet on my school board. The boarding school was located
in Malang. After I saw the pamflet, I inform my mom, I wanna go there because
of their scholarship programs and my mom gave me a permission. So, I prepared
everything needed, essay, photocopies of my grade score, recommendation letter
etc. Yeah, I got an obstacle while i tried to register my application form.
Some of my teachers doubt me. At first they wont give me permissioin to sent my
application form because they said I’m not qualified. But I keep struggling.
Finally they let me sent my application and alhamdulilah I proved them that
they were wrong. I got the scholarships and my parents proud of me. I choose
where i supposed to be and I responsible to all the risk I’ll face in the
future.
Well, all the choice have their strength and weakness, white
side and dark side. My choice to be in newly boarding school give me another
obstacle when I graduated. I failed in all the state university test. I got no
state university acceptence letter. I failed because of my choice? Maybe yes
maybe no. In the test, I choose the high level state university and they
rejected me. Regret? Of course not. I just keep being positive. When one door
closed, another doors open it means it give me opportunity to find my success
in other ways, beside study in state university. My parents dissapointed with
my choice? No they werent dissapointed and keep support me. They always
motivated me to keep my heads up. Break the leg!
Then I search the private university, the ones that provide
scholarships of course. As we know, private university tuition was very
expensive and my family couldnt afford it. Another chance came, my bestfriends
told me that there was a new private university in Tangerang that have a scholarships programs. I told my
parents and they said, “yes, just go wherever you want” and I registered. Thank
God for Your Greatness, they accepted me.

We are fully responsible with our choice because God give us authority to
choose. Wheter our choice is good or bad, there’s no reason to blame other
people because of our choice.
