The Parent Lottery

The Parents Lottery

The parents lottery, yeah I won the parents lottery! I’m grateful ! Thank Allah J

I was born in the best family I’ve ever meet. My mother was a tough and calm, an entrepeneur. She run a small business in our home, business that can make me fat, cookies business! As her son, the cookies business may became my good fortune. The profit from the business  use to faring my education. For a billion reasons, my mom was my hero. She always put my needs in first colummn in her priority scale.

My dad was a tough and taciturn, but once he speak, everyone listen to him. He was a welder and entrepeneur too. He worked in my uncle workshop business beside my house and run a farming business. He is a madurish people and my mother is a chinesse people. I remembered when I had an interview once I apply a scholarship in high school, the interviewer said that my sisters and I are a “maducina” people, mixture of madurish and chinesse! LOL

My sisters and I grew up comfortably middle class in Jember. Money was an issue in our house, mostly because my parents urge to educate their children. They worked very hard everyday to earn more money till my first sister graduted from her university, after that, their workload reduce step by step. We rarely went out to dinner. My sisters and I rarely got toys, my parents bought us books rather than toys. It sounds oppresive by today’s standard, but it was actually a fortune childhood. I really thank my parents, they got so many things right to my sisters and I. We didn’t buy much, but we thought about everything.

Now, my parents must be overjoyed, their daugther already had  jobs and their son, got scholarshipin high school and university. Their second daugther married few months ago and next year their first daughter is going to marry. They are waiting for grandchild ! J

This the photos of us, taken on my sisters wedding

Story of an Egg

A beautiful morning in  the small farm as beautiful as a birth of my bothers and I. We had different colour in our skin. My eldest  brother had orange, another had white , brown, and light-yellow. Mine was yellow.

One day, the orange egg, my eldest brother’s nickname, asked “What’s your expectation in the future?”. We were gaping at him.

“I expect to be the best egg in this farm” answered the  brown egg

“I expect to be heroic chicken, everyday I’ll wake you up with my shrill voice” said the white  egg

“I expect to be easter egg, so every  child wishing for me” said the light-yellow egg

I kept silent and asking to myself what’s my expectation in the future?.  After thinking for a while, I said “ I expect to be a beautiful chicken, so in every beautiful competition I attend, I can be a champion and make the farmer proud of me”

In the middle of their chat, their mother came in.

“My sons, whatever you expect in the future I hope you'll be useful for human. Now, it’s the time to go to bed. Good night “ said their mother

Next day, the farmer came. He took me from my comfortable place and being separated with my brothers and mam. I’m so sad. He brought me to his home and put me in a cold box. In the night, the yellow egg was crying and his crying woke a bunch of spinach up. A bunch of spinach astonished and he asked the yellow egg “ What happened? Why you're  crying in the middle of night?”

“I’m sorrowful, I was separated with my brothers and mam, and I can’t achieve my dreams” answered the yellow egg

“What’s your dream?” said a bunch of spinach

“ I expect to be a beautifull chicken, so in every beautiful competition I attend, I can be a champions and make the farmer proud of me. But, now it just a dream, I can’t grow up and can’t be use again in this cold box”

“ Who say you can’t be used again friends? I believe one day you can benefit the farmer more than what’s you’re expect to be before. Just believe and be positive . God have a plan for you” said a bunch of spinach

“ Really?” asked the yellow egg

“Sure” answered a bunch of spinach

“ Ok. I believe and be positive. I trust in God. Thank you for your advice friend” said the yellow egg

“My pleasure” said a bunch of spinach

In the town, there’s a cooking competition for all the farmer in that city. The yellow egg’s farmer planned to join the competition. Everyday he tried to cooked the most delicious food with his wife. Unfortunately, as the time running, he couldn't discover the recipe to make the most delicious food. He felt frustation and deperate. He walked to the refrigerator and opened it. His view pointed to the yellow egg he took few days ago. An idea come when he saw the yellow egg. Then, he cooked again and  mixed the yellow egg with the batter.

The yellow egg was crying. His body collided in the table, one , two, three times ! He was crying louder and louder in each collision and finally his body splited into two, produced a thick yellow and clear liquid. Now the yelow egg “naked”, his body become one with the batter. But he still trust in God. God always had a plan for him.

The yellow egg faith paid. The farmer won the cooking competition, he discovered the most delicious food after he mixed the yellow egg with the batter. The farmer won the cooking competition because of the yellow egg.
